From 29 April 2019 to 4 May 2019, 132 countries, academia, organizations, NGOs, stakeholders, scientists from all around the world gathered together in Paris for the seventh session of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES). I had the opportunity to participate in this conference as an observer from our study programme “Global Change Ecology” at the University of Bayreuth.
